26 - Elstree Inn, Elstree

Got up at a more usual time this morning; 6:45am. Got breakfast at 7am and went outside at 7:29 to meet James and Euan who texted to say they would be five minutes. 16 minutes later they arrived and we set off.
Walked until lunch time, thoughts of Euan’s mum (jokes aplenty) keeping us motivated. We then got into a bar just in St Albans where James re-did his blister plasters, putting the old ones on the table. We then changed tables and ate (Euan was anal enough to insist on paying exactly £7.14 for his meal).
After leaving, James really needed a shit, we taunted him a lot, he finally found somewhere whilst Euan and I purchased “React,” a 1.5 litre energy drink from the 99p store.
In the latter part of the day James had a repeat of day 1, with beasting, mad blisters (homage to John there [note, I favour the use of the word “beast” as an adjective]) and his hypoglycemia acting up once more. We got to the Elstree Inn after some random kids walked past saying peace and love to the earth, which Euan readily replied to in agreement.
James is currently collapsed on the bed. John will join us at lunch time tomorrow for the final stretch. My hand rashes remain untanned although the rest of my arms are becoming no darker. Soreen now does a banana loaf, great combination of my favourite foods.

This is a blog chronicling the month long walk I undertook, with my brother, from Edinburgh to London.
